And here are the stars of the show! This is Sarfi in 2013, at the age of 6.

Crocheting is my passion

My main hobbies are knitting and crocheting, and it's very rare that I'm watching television on an evening with nothing to crochet or knit. I learnt the basics of both knitting and crocheting when I was little, but all my attempts came out awful. I'm left-handed, so at the time I couldn't get my head round the right-handed methods I was being taught. The most I could do in crocheting was chain stitch, anything more and I just became all tangled up in the wool, and knitting even a simple garter stitch scarf had more holes than anything due to dropped stitches. Because I wasn't doing very well at either knitting or crocheting, I lost interest and gave up.

About the only thing I've ever won was a knitting book. It was a very simple book with no colour pictures, yet it gave me the push to try knitting again. I was 18 at that point, and I managed to knit a garter stitch bag with no holes! The next year I re-attempted crocheting, but I couldn't get my head round the 'working in the round' concept, so I gave up on it again and stuck to knitting.

Then about 18 months later, with the help of many YouTube videos, I finally cracked working in the round, and ever since I've been a complete crocheting convert! I find it hard to believe how difficult I used to find both knitting and crocheting, as now they are second nature to me. Now my main problem is stopping myself from buying so much yarn!

Once I had cracked the technique of crocheting and improved my skills, I was crocheting so many things (mainly baby items) and I just didn't know enough people with babies to give all my finished items as presents, so it suddenly dawned on me that I could sell my finished products, and that way I could continue crocheting as much as I liked and have a really flexible job in the process.

I really hope you enjoy browsing through my little shop - all my items for sale are made with love and care by myself in a smoke-free home. If you have any questions, please get in touch with me and I will answer as soon as I can. I am experimenting with new stitches all the time to devise my own patterns, and the yarn I use is usually dedicated baby yarn or very soft adult yarn that will be kind to your baby's skin.

Please pay by PayPal or Etsy Direct Checkout - I also accept Etsy Gift Cards! Payment must be received within 2 days or transaction will need to be cancelled.

Shipping

At the present time I sell to people within the United Kingdom, the whole of the European Union, plus Australia and New Zealand.

For the UK, I use a trackable postal service, usually Hermes and/or Collect+, so you can track your new purchase from my door to yours. A signature will always be required by the courier.

For deliveries outside of the UK, I use Royal Mail's Airmail - please allow enough time for the parcel to be delivered.

From cleared payment to dispatch will usually take up to 5 working days.

If it is possible for me, I can also do small custom orders. Please bear in mind that custom orders will be made from scratch and so will take longer to complete. Payment must be received in full before I can begin work, due to buying materials. Please contact me for a quote on the custom order you require, including the type of yarn you would like me to use (bearing in mind I live in the UK, so please use UK terminology and yarn types).

Please be specific as to the design of the order, including the colour and even the exact yarn you would like used (as long as I can acquire it).
